UNOPS and KOICA Launch $13.9M Vocational Education Project to Rebuild Ukraine’s Future
UNOPS and KOICA launch a $13.9M project to build the Vasylkiv Vocational Lyceum in Ukraine, providing modern vocational training for 800 students. This initiative supports Ukraine’s recovery, resilience, and sustainable development goals.

In a significant step toward rebuilding Ukraine’s future, UNOPS has partnered with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to launch a transformative project: the construction of the Vasylkiv Vocational Lyceum in Kyiv Oblast. With $13.9 million in funding, this initiative will provide modern, high-quality vocational training facilities for up to 800 students, equipping them with the skills needed to contribute to Ukraine’s recovery and long-term resilience.
A Project of Opportunity and Empowerment
The Vasylkiv Vocational Lyceum is more than just a construction project—it’s a beacon of hope and opportunity. By integrating inclusive design, cutting-edge facilities, and a commitment to sustainability, the lyceum will serve as a model for education recovery in Ukraine. It will offer training in critical fields, empowering students to play an active role in rebuilding their communities and country.
This initiative comes at a crucial time, as Ukraine continues to face immense challenges resulting from the ongoing war. Access to quality education and vocational training is essential for fostering economic opportunities, strengthening local capacity, and ensuring a sustainable future for the country.
