The Resident Representative (RR) Office at UNDP Rwanda is offering an exciting internship opportunity that will provide you with hands-on experience, professional growth, and exposure to the workings of a global development agency.
About the Role
As an intern at the RR Office, you will work under the direct supervision of the Resident Representative and contribute to the efficient functioning of the office. This role is designed to enhance your skills while supporting UNDP’s mission to promote sustainable development in Rwanda.
Key Responsibilities

Office Management (70%):
-
Ensure the smooth functioning of the RR Office.

Manage the RR’s calendar, appointments, and meetings.
-
Prepare briefing materials for meetings, missions, and high-level engagements.

Communications Support (20%):
-
Maintain filing systems (both physical and digital) for confidential documents.
-
Facilitate information flow within the office and with external partners.
-
Track deadlines, commitments, and actions, and compile reports for the RR.

Ad Hoc Tasks (10%):

Support other activities as needed to contribute to the office’s goals.

Who We’re Looking For
-
Education:
-
Final-year Bachelor’s student; or
-
Currently enrolled in a Master’s program; or
-
Graduated within the last year from a Master’s program or equivalent.

Field of Study: Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields.

Skills:
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (knowledge of Kinyarwanda and French is an asset).

Ability to work independently and in teams.
