LAGOS, Nigeria – In a landmark initiative to tackle Nigeria’s healthcare energy issues, the global energy tech firm SLB has teamed up with The ONE Campaign to deploy solar inverters at ten healthcare centers in Lagos, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States. The project was officially celebrated at an event in Lagos, where representatives from SLB, ONE Campaign, government officials, community leaders, and healthcare professionals gathered. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that merely 40% of healthcare facilities in sub-Saharan Africa have dependable electricity. This shortfall critically undermines the capacity of healthcare centers to offer stable, high-quality care. By providing solar power to these ten healthcare centers, SLB and ONE Campaign are tackling this urgent issue, guaranteeing:
