The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is calling for passionate and driven professionals to join its Food Security Program as (Senior) Specialists. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in mainstreaming climate adaptation into large-scale agricultural and food security investments financed by Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs). If you are committed to sustainable development and climate resilience, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on vulnerable communities across Africa, Asia, and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
About the Role
As a (Senior) Specialist, you will:

Collaborate with MDBs, governments, private sector stakeholders, and technical partners to design and implement climate-resilient agricultural projects.

Mainstream climate adaptation technologies and practices into food security investments, ensuring they deliver strong adaptation benefits.

Focus on solutions such as climate-resilient crop production, livestock management, and agroforestry to build resilient food systems.

Contribute to GCA’s goal of influencing $10 billion in investments by 2025, supporting 38 million farmers and herders across 26 African countries.
