The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join its team in Ethiopia as a GCF Project Operations Officer. About the Role.

As the GCF Project Operations Officer, you will play a key role in managing and implementing climate finance projects funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The position requires a strong background in climate finance, project management, and a deep understanding of Ethiopia’s climate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the operational aspects of GCF-funded projects, ensuring effective implementation and delivery.

Provide technical expertise in climate finance and sustainable development.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and international organizations.

Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with GCF and GGGI guidelines.

Support capacity-building initiatives to enhance local expertise in climate finance and project management.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master’s degree in environmental science, climate finance, economics, or a related field.

6-8 years of professional experience in climate finance, project management, or sustainable development.

Strong understanding of Ethiopia’s climate policies and green growth priorities.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills.

Experience working with international organizations or development projects is an asset.
