The Agriculture, Youth, and Technology (AYuTe) Challenge, launched by Heifer International, seeks to enhance innovation to tackle the issues confronting smallholder farmers in Rwanda. This platform allows young agri-tech innovators to present their innovative solutions and advance the agricultural sector.

Whether you're a startup eager to expand a successful solution or an innovator with a groundbreaking idea aimed at helping smallholder farmers enhance productivity and income, this challenge presents a unique opportunity! Key Dates to Remember

 Application Period: 23rd January 2025 - 20th February 2025

Preliminary Pitches: 10th March 2025 - 14th March 2025

Bootcamp: 21st March 2025 - 23rd March 2025

Finals and Award Ceremony: 30th April 2025

 Eligibility Criteria

 To ensure inclusivity and fairness; applicants must meet the following criteria:

Age: Rwandan citizens aged 18-35.

Focus Areas: Solutions should address challenges in smallholder farming, such as:

Productivity

Income generation

Labor intensiveness

Resilience

Access to information

Technology integration

Community Impact

Feasibility and scalability

Innovation.

Registration: Startups/innovators must be legally registered and provide identification.

 Reapplication: Previous applicants are encouraged to reapply as long as they have not received funding from the AYuTe Challenge or other Heifer International programs.

Conflict of Interest: Any relationships with Heifer International employees must be disclosed; failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Pitching Language: Candidates must pitch in English.
