438 Central African Republic soldiers trained by the Rwandan army graduate, strengthening military ties. The six-month program enhances CAR’s defense capabilities.

About 438 young men and women from the Central African Republic trained by the Rwandan army affiliated with this country have completed their military training and have been inducted into the army.
The inductees, including 38 women, were trained for six months.
The ceremony took place at the Kassaï Military Base in the capital of the Central African Republic, Bangui, and was presided over by the Prime Minister of this country, Félix Moloua, who delivered a message on behalf of President Faustin Archange Touadera.
The event was also attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Rwandan Land Forces, Major General Vincent Nyakarundi, the Rwandan military spokesman, Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga, and the Chief of Staff of the Central African Republic Army, Gen Zephlin Mamadou.
The Prime Minister of this country, Félix Moloua, praised the cooperation between the Central African Republic and Rwandan armies.
He said, “We are pleased with the military cooperation that has helped our FACA army. Our government is pleased with the work that has been done. Today, we are witnesses that the Central African Republic army has the capacity to protect the country and its people.”
The Chief of Staff of the Central African Republic Army, Gen Zephlin Mamadou, said, “They were impressed by the training provided by the Rwandan army, which shows a significant increase in the capacity to address various security issues.”
The Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Army, Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi, said that this military exercise demonstrates the cooperation between the two countries.
He added that Rwanda is ready to continue working with this country in building the capacity of the army not only at the basic level but also in other higher levels of military knowledge.
During the past six months, they have been given various skills including training in shooting various weapons.
