The UN Youth Office invites young leaders to participate in the 2025 ECOSOC Youth Forum!

The United Nations Youth Office is thrilled to offer young individuals the opportunity to join the 2025 ECOSOC Youth Forum. This forum will center on a theme that is in line with the 2025 High-level Political Forum (HLPF), which focuses on “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science—and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals to ensure no one is left behind."

The United Nations Youth Office will support up to 15 young individuals (aged 18-35) to participate in person at the 2025 ECOSOC Youth Forum, which will take place from April 15-17, 2025, at the UN Headquarters in New York City (USA).

The ECOSOC Youth Forum is scheduled from April 15 to 17, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This year's Forum will focus on the theme established by ECOSOC and the High-level Political Forum (HLPF) for 2025: “Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring no one is left behind.” Additionally, the Forum will create opportunities to explore specific actions and commitments aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set for comprehensive review at the 2025 HLPF, particularly of SDG 3 (Good health and well-being), SDG 5 (Gender equality), SDG 8 (Decent work and economic growth), SDG 14 (Life below water), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Selected young leaders will:

- Engage directly with decision-makers and policymakers at the forum.

- Exchange insights and innovative solutions that promote sustainable development.

- Connect with fellow advocates from diverse backgrounds and regions.

- Contribute to shaping global policies and commitments towards sustainable development.

- Actively participate in advancing the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs within the UN system and beyond.

Eligibility and Selection Process

This opportunity is open to individuals aged 18-35. The UN Youth Office, assisted by partners, including the Youth Reference Group, will select eligible candidates, ensuring gender balance, geographical representation, and inclusion of under-represented youth groups.
